What is Kaya Health Haven
The reason I created Kaya Health Haven is when I returned to physical exercise after an extended period, I found that the struggle to stay motivated was a lot more mental than it was physical. After years of being in good physical condition, I found that the aging process takes its toll in different ways on the body, so I had to focus much more on stretching (including deep tissue & developmental stretching) and on focused, mindful Breathwork in order to keep my body flexible and recover in good time.
Very quickly I realised that the physical, mental, emotional aspects of ourselves are inextricably linked and if one of these is not in good health then the others suffer too. When we work on all three aspects instead of just the one, we are giving ourselves the best chance to reach our full potential. We have more clarity, balance and motivation and we are able to manage stress much more efficiently. Our sleep patterns improve considerably which has a positive impact on our eating habits. As a result, rather than feeling like exercise, meditation, stretching are a chore to get done, one thrives and enjoys the healing process instead. All of this creates a mindset that is positive, nurturing and encouraging towards ourselves and our bodies.
At present, Kaya Health Haven is virtual, providing a range of services depending on your needs. There is also a Community Board for people to find useful information, and find support amongst each other, particularly on those days when you feel you need someone to be an ear, a shoulder or provide you with the motivation you need.
There will be Kaya Health Haven Retreats in the future, however for the time-being, it is a virtual Haven where people can find what it is that they feel they need to improve their overall health and wellbeing, to thrive and to be the Best Human Being You can be (physically, mentally and emotionally).
